Jamaican author Marlon James has been shortlisted for the 2026 Booker Prize for his latest novel, The Disappearers.
James previously won the Booker Prize in 2015 for A Brief History of Seven Killings. The Disappearers is set in Jamaica and explores violence, homophobia, identity and the lives of queer men in the 1980s and 1990s.
The six shortlisted authors will find out who takes home the £50,000 prize on 9 November.
