Goldsmiths students provide sneak peek ahead

Graduating artists from the world-leading Fine Art programme will showcase their work at the annual Degree Shows this week, celebrating the best of creativity at Goldsmiths.  

And ahead of the opening, students on the prestigious MFA programme have provided  a sneak peak of the works to be displayed via an exclusive website https://goldsmithsmfa2024.com

Goldsmiths MFA programme that honed the talents of artists such as Damien Hurst and Sarah Lucas, will join student artists studying for the MA Artists’ Film & Moving Image, the MA Art & Ecology and Graduate Diploma in Art programmes. In all some 120 artists work will be on display.

Opening on 11 July the five-day Postgraduate degree show will bring together the work of students from the UK, China, South Korea, Egypt, Bangladesh, Romania, the USA.

With nearly four-fifths of its research rated world-leading or internationally excellent by the 2021 Research Excellence Framework, Goldsmiths is at the forefront of creative practice.  Along with its strong reputation for arts education– with both the Good University Guide and Complete University Guide ranking the south London university among the top ten for art and design in 2023 – Goldsmiths is a magnet for new and emerging creative talent.

Professor Frances Corner, Warden of Goldsmiths, University of London said:

We’re producing not only the creative ideas of the future but also the talent that will drive it.  The degree show provides a fascinating preview of what is to come, and both its quality and depth is a testament to the strength and vitality of arts education that Goldsmiths continues to provide.” 

The annual summer Postgraduate Degree Show opening night will take place on Thursday 11 July from 6pm-9pm, at Goldsmiths, University of London Ben Pimlott Building, St James New Cross, London, SE14 6AD.
