MUBI AT BFI LONDON FILM FESTIVAL BEN SHARROCK’S LIMBO & EKWA MSANGI’S FAREWELL AMOR

Global curated streaming service, theatrical distributor and producer MUBI has announced the following film titles screening as part of this year’s BFI London Film Festival in October. (Main image LIMBO)

LIMBO, from filmmaker Ben Sharrock (PIKADERO), is a wry and poignant observation of the refugee experience, set on a fictional remote Scottish island. The film was picked for the Cannes Official Selection this year and has garnered five-star reviews since its premiere at TIFF. The film screens as part of the Journey section of the festival on BFI Player on Friday 16 October.

Farewell Amor

FAREWELL AMOR, a Sundance prize-winning family drama from Ekwa Msangi, follows the uncomfortable reunion between an Angolan man and his wife and daughter, who move from their home to join him in New York after 17 years apart. The film screens as part of the Love section of the festival on BFI Player from Friday 9 October.
