Death of a Salesman show stopped at Piccadilly theatre and evacuated after ceiling collapses

Piccadilly theatre  in London West End was evacuated after part of its ceiling collapsed during a show.

Emergency services were called to the theatre around 8pm on Wednesday when the ceiling crashed down into the auditorium. There was  screams from audience members, as they watched the show Death of a Salesman, the restaging of Arthur Miller’s play, starring Wendell Pierce in the role of  Willy Loman.

It was reported that paramedics treated 5 people at the scene for cuts and injuries caused by the falling debris.
