EXPO CHICAGO, The International Exposition of Contemporary & Modern Art, features leading international galleries alongside the highest quality platform for contemporary art and culture. In 2023, EXPO CHICAGO will host 170 leading international exhibitors at Navy Pier’s Festival Hall. The exposition draws upon the city’s rich history as a vibrant international cultural destination, while engaging the region’s contemporary art community and collector base.
Cynthia Corbett Gallery, a London-based Contemporary art gallery, was established by American former economist, art historian and curator Cynthia Valianti Corbett in 2004. The Gallery is an international nomadic art gallery representing emerging and established contemporary artists, and has a broad annual exhibition programme including international art fairs and collaborative projects worldwide. The Gallery’s represented and guest artists come from British, American and international backgrounds, whose works have been published and acquired by major museums, institutions, and private collections.
Matt Smith is a multi award-winning artist based in Ireland and England. Acclaimed solo exhibitions include Losing Venus at the Pitt Rivers Museum, Flux: Parian Unpacked at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Who Owns History at Hove Museum and Queering the Museum at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. In 2015/16 he was artist in residence at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. EXPO CHICAGO will host the tenth edition of the in-person exposition on April 13—16, 2023 at Navy Pier. Moving forward, the exposition will be presented annually in April, with April 11—14, 2024 as dates for the eleventh edition at Navy Pier. Over the next several months, EXPO CHICAGO will be actively working with global partners and Chicago’s renowned hospitality community to prepare for next year.
Launched by Marwan Zakhem on Ghana Independence Day, 2016, Gallery 1957 has since expanded across three gallery spaces within Accra, dedicating its programme to spearheading international exchanges between contemporary West African art practices and the rest of the world.
