King Charles has released his first New Years Honours list, more than 1000 people across the country have been recognised. The first list to published since the Queen’s death and the first to be signed off King Charles.

Rosamund Adoo-Kissi-Debrah, the mother from Lewisham in south-east London, has been named in the New Year Honours list for services to public health. She has been fighting to introduce the Clean Air (Human Rights) Bill – or “Ella’s law”, named after her daughter.

Her daughter died in 2013 and Ella became the first person in the UK to have air pollution listed as a cause of death. She has been made a CBE for services to public health. The Bill The Bill is to be scrutinised by MPs in the Commons after passing the Lords recently.
Honourees include actors, musicians, business leaders, civil servants and sports stars.
