Nigerians are making a global impact in the music, entertainment, and sports industries while the fashion, accessories, beauty, body care, arts, and craft industries are yet to fully establish themselves outside of Nigeria. Proudly Naija Souk is shining the spotlight on those industries and creating a unique shopping experience on Oxford Street 27th November – 4th December.
For eight days, Europe’s busiest shopping destination, will be home to some of Nigeria’s vibrant and creative brands, bringing affordable luxury items from Nigeria under one roof at one of the busiest shopping times of the year.
Proudly Naija Souk is taking over an innovative retail space in the heart of London. The shopping experience will combine digital and interactive visuals with handpicked Nigerian brands including African fabrics and accessories for men; contemporary ready-to-wear clothes in African print for women; hand crafted, eco-conscious home fragrances, handmade jewellery, and a mixture of visual artists.
Omobola Dada, the brains behind Proudly Naija Souk, says: “As a Nigerian in the diaspora who is passionate about nation building, I want to do my bit to improve the perception of the Nigerian brand outside of the country. Proudly Naija Souk is the platform to make this happen”
Proudly Naija Souk is more than just an event. It is a dynamic new platform providing market entry opportunities for Nigerian brands to increase visibility and establish a presence on the world stage. 27th November – 4th December is just the beginning.
