Holidays: 28 days per annum (including bank & public holidays)

40 hours per week (Average of 40 hours per week, with some evenings and weekends as required. Park Theatre will offer a Time Off in Lieu policy)

About Park Theatre:

Park Theatre opened in May 2013 after three years of planning and building and is comprised of:

Park200 (a 200 seat theatre with stalls and circle), Park90 (a flexible studio space), the Morris Space (a multifunctional room used for rehearsals, workshops, readings and the majority of our creative learning activity); the Theatre Bar and additional facilities (including offices, dressing rooms and a green room). We are a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee, overseen by a non- executive Board of Trustees. We have a talented and dedicated team of 16 permanent staff, plus a pool of casuals and volunteer ushers.

Park Theatre are invested and rooted in the local community and seek to work with local residents, businesses and partner organisations to create a better Finsbury Park for everyone. Purpose of the Job:

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager is responsible for promoting our wide range of artistic and community activity, building audiences and raising our organisation’s profile. The primary focus will be on the creation, delivery and successful outcome of marketing campaigns, this includes taking a lead on marketing for our smaller theatre Park90. The Marketing
Manager will provide excellent customer service to all theatre patrons, the visiting  companies andco-producers and ensure that all revenue generating opportunities are maximised. Alongsidemaximising income and raising the profile of the organisation, the post holder will ensure audiences are developed and maintained in line with the organisation’s audience development strategy and provide audience insights. The Marketing Manager will be a guardian for all aspects of Park Theatre’s brand and ensure our continuing high standards are met. The role will work closely with Sales & Ticketing Manager and Sales & Marketing Director, Park Theatre’s Development and Creative Learning departments and external producers to ensure consistency of approach in all our outward
facing communications.

Responsibilities: Main Responsibilities

      To lead on communications with Park90 producers, assisting them with the planning and

implementation of their marketing campaigns

      To manage the overall Park90 season timeline, planning ahead to keep all producers on

schedule with copy, print and digital deadlines

      Contribute towards the devising, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of marketing

strategies for all shows presented at Park Theatre, effectively contributing to the achievement of financial, outreach and artistic objectives.

      To take a lead on the day to day running of social media channels, planning social

campaigns, setting up paid adverts, liaising with producers on content schedules, liaising

with other departments for non-show based content, ensuring a daily presence via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram

      To create, send and analyse the effectiveness of theatre email newsletters on DotDigital/

Spektrix

      Oversee the production of printed and digital campaign materials, working with external

design and creative agencies, producers, web developers, printers, mailing house and

distributors, to ensure delivery of marketing campaigns and assets on time and to budget.  Act as a guardian for Park Theatre’s brand and values, ensuring appropriate and consistent
        guidelines are maintained both internally and externally.

      Write copy for print, direct mail, adverts and other marketing material as and when required

and accurately proof read all produced material.

      To work with the Sales & Marketing Director to provide meaningful insight into audience

characteristics, to analyse and identify key customer trends via Spektrix, Google Analytics, social insights and qualitative feedback and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and audience development strategies and evaluate ROI on marketing spend.

     To assist in the creation of audio and video content as necessary for in house productions

and Creative Learning or Development projects

     To manage PS and social media swaps and the email communications schedule

     Update Park Theatre’s website on a regular basis

     To support the Sales & Marketing Director on season launches

     To take on small design jobs in house as necessary

     To create front of house displays for current shows, ensure a constant presence of

marketing print around the building and regularly update the digital advertising screens

   To work with the Community Engagement Manager on the Creative Learning marketing
        budget, put a yearly campaign in place including email newsletters & social media and
        outreach to the local community via schools and groups

   To support the Development department on campaigns such as Park Keepers, Annual Fund,
        Galas and Fundraisers

   To work closely with Park Theatre’s Access Coordinator on best practice, ensuring Park
        Theatre is a warm and welcoming space for all

   Support the marketing of Park Theatre Cafe Bar

   Deputise for the Sales & Marketing Director as required    To line manage Marketing Interns

   Ensuring compliance with Data Protection legislation and PCI

Press

   Attending regular meetings with Park Theatre’s external press representatives and providing
        them with regular updates

   To manage Park90 press nights alongside the Sales & Ticketing Manager, liaising with
        producers and external PR companies on guest lists

   To attend Park200 press nights to support and, on occasion, deputise for, the Sales &
        Marketing Director.

   To liaise with Park Theatre’s Administrator on the creation of press night invitations and
        inviting guests to press events

Audience Development

   To lead on the development of Park Theatre’s under 26 membership scheme, Park Up    To assist the Sales & Marketing Director on implementing Park Theatre’s audience
        development strategy

   Work with the Sales & Marketing Director to monitor quantitative and qualitative audience
        customer feedback via surveys

   Contribute to the continued development of the organisation’s digital presence, identifying
        new ways to use digital technology to bring Park Theatre to a wider audience.
   Develop and review audience development strategies, building the necessary networks and
        relationships to target new audiences.

Communication

   To provide regular updates on the effectiveness of Park90 marketing activity and show
        campaigns in weekly Sales & Marketing team meetings including mapping overall sales
        trends in the venue over time

   To attend marketing meetings with Park90 producers, offer guidance and support on best
        marketing practice to companies in the building

   To participate in regular Sales & Marketing team meetings with the wider team including
        casual staff, informing them on the latest updates, policies and listening to feedback

Finance

   To manage the internal marketing budgets for Park90 shows, recording in house costs,
        raising purchase orders and managing invoices ensuring all parties remain within budget.

   Plan, manage and monitor the approved marketing budgets ensuring that expenditure is
        kept within agreed limits, liaising with the Sales & Marketing Director

   Maximise income and minimise expenditure without the loss of quality, in all areas of
        responsibility.

Person Specification
Essential

   Demonstrable experience in a theatre marketing role

   A proven ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders (for example,
        visiting companies, internal producing departments, external marketing agencies)    Proven experience of managing/ working with budgets.

   Self-starting, enthusiastic and reliable

   Ability to multi task, work unsupervised and meet deadlines

   Ability to manage time and prioritise workload – both individually and within a team    Excellent customer service and telephone manner

   An eye for design and marketing imagery

   Experience of Microsoft Office packages

   Excellent attention to detail and keen proofing skills    Excellent planning and organisational skills
   Sound numeracy and IT skills

   A passion and commitment to theatre

Desirable

   Experience of using Spektrix
   Experience of using DotDigital

   Design experience with Photoshop or InDesign    Website CMS experience

   Photography and videography experience

   Google Analytics and Google Adwords experience

   Experience of paid social media advertising via facebook, twitter, instagram or youtube
