Taking place from 29th August – 1st September 2018 in Florence, Italy, The New Generation Festival will be taking over The Gardens of the Palazzo Corsini for its highly anticipated second year, creating an international platform for the finest, young music, theatre and opera talent. Throughout the weekend, audiences will take to the Corsini Gardens in the heart of Florence for open-air musical and dramatic performances. The programme features Don Giovanni by W.A. Mozart, Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto and Symphony No. 5, alongside a yet-to-be-announced programme of non-classical performances curated by DJ Harold Van Lennep.
This year will also host a full staging of William Shakespeare’s Henry V, never performed before with a full live orchestra, this truly theatrical event, will be set to the orchestral score by Sir William Walton.
