The presenter has not been named but the senior BBC presenter has been suspended, following allegations that he solicited a teenager for sexually explicit photos. The Sun originally reported that the presenter had paid the minor about £35,000 for the photos. The BBC termed the matter a “complex and fast moving set of circumstances”.

On Saturday, July 8, The Sun published an anonymous interview with the mother and stepfather of an apparently vulnerable youth who had been exchanging messages with an unnamed BBC presenter.
2. Young person ‘felt threatened by abusive messages’
A second individual, understood to be in their 20s, claimed to BBC News that they had made contact with the unnamed presenter through a dating app.
3. Presenter ‘broke lockdown rules to meet youth’
A third young person came forward to claim in The Sun that the BBC presenter allegedly broke lockdown rules to meet with him.
4. Presenter ‘sent creepy Instagram messages’ to teenager
A fourth young person claims they were contacted on Instagram by the unnamed presenter, who sent love hearts and ‘x’ kisses, it is claimed in The Sun.
Scotland Yard will meet the BBC today, apparently the presenter tried to get the minors mother to drop the complaint. There has been huge concern about the way it has be hanndled by the BBC. The allergations became public in The Sun on Friday night. But the family made the complaint on the 19th of May 2023. The justice secretary has asked the BBC to get on with handling the “situation.
