Trailer and Exclusive Images released today for new thriller Deep Water

Prime Video today released the trailer, poster and exclusive images for Deep Water, the new erotic thriller from acclaimed British Director Adrian Lyne starring Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck.

Deep Water premieres on Prime Video in the UK and Worldwide* on 18th March.

The thriller genre new entry has been in development for many years, based on the 1957 Patricia Highsmith novel of the same name. Highsmith’s work has been memorably adapted into movies before, she is the author behind Strangers on a Train, The Talented Mr. Ripley, and The Two Faces of January to name a few.

Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas as Vic and Melinda Van Allen, an affluent New Orleans couple whose marriage is crumbling under the weight of resentment, jealousy, and mistrust. As their mutual provocations and mind games escalate, things quickly turn into a deadly game of cat and mouse as Melinda’s extramarital dalliances start going missing.

With sizzling and complex performances from Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas and helmed by one of the most celebrated filmmakers of the genre, Deep Water marks the return of the A-list erotic thriller, grabbing your attention from the start and refusing to let go as you discover just how far a person will go.

It is reported that Affleck and de Armas were dating around the time of filming, and although they have now split, it makes for fun chemistry on screen. Aside from the two leads, the pair are accompanied on set by a strong group of actors, including the likes of Tracy Letts (Lady Bird), Rachel Blanchard (Fargo, Peep Show), Dash Mihok (The Day After Tomorrow), LilRey Howery (Free Guy, Get Out), JacobElordi (Euphoria, The Kissing Booth), Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story, The Big Short), and Kristen Connolly (The Cabin in the Woods).

Oscar-nominated Deep Water director Adrian Lyne is the creative force behind some of the most talked-about movies of our time, among them Fatal Attraction (1987), Indecent Proposal (1993), Jacob’s Ladder (1990/1)and Lolita (1997).
