Meet Agbeke, Omotola and Aramide, three generations of proud African women connecting with each other across two continents, through time and space. Together they share their struggles, their joys, tragedies, and broken dreams in order to find healing in the present.
Here’s What She Said to Me combines drama with music, poetry and movement to tell a moving story of daughters and mothers in the world of migrations and shifting identities, braving life with an undying hope, optimism and resilience.

Written by Oladipo Agboluaje after conversations with director MojisolaElufowoju about her relationship with her own mother and daughter. This production features Lola May as daughter Aramide, OyinOrija as motherOmotola, and Anni Domingo as grandmother Agbeke. With music performed by Ayan De First.
With Utopia Theatre’s biggest performance yet, Here’s What She Said to Me tours all corners of the UK from 11th February to 18th March. Additionally, performances will be live-streamed, which means they will be accessible to everyone, no matter your location or circumstances.
