Independent cinemas?

Unlike the large cinema chains with a stronger financial framework independent cinemas have been hit a lot harder.

Best to check your local cinema website for reopening dates.

What safety measures will be in place at cinemas?

The UK Cinema Association published a document in 2020 containing guidance on the best way to reopen venues during the pandemic, titled Cinemas: Keeping Workers and Customers Safe during COVID-19.

The guidance across all cinemas is:

  • Staggered start times

  • Face masks
  • Book online (no cash)
