Trump takes must-win starts like Ohio,
Trump won Ohio (and its 18 electoral votes), according to projections from Fox News and NBC News, in what many saw as a must-win for the president.
Trump has secured Idaho, Utah, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Louisiana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas.
Biden earlier won California, Oregon, Washington, New Hampshire, Colorado, the District of Columbia, New Mexico, New York, Virginia, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, Illinois, Delaware and Connecticut
Biden had hoped to do better than Clinton four years ago, who lost the Buckeye State by about 8 percentage points. Polls had shown Biden up for weeks in the fall, but that lead had evaporated as the election drew near.
