Michael Kiwanuka has been announced as the winner of the Hyundai Mercury Prize 2020. The London-born artist won for his self-titled third album. The news was revealed in an announcement on the BBC’s The One Show, by BBC Radio One presenter and Mercury Prize judge Annie Mac.
‘KIWANUKA’ was released in November 2019 on Polydor and is Michael Kiwanuka’s third album. It was produced by Danger Mouse and British hip hop producer Inflo andwas recorded in LA, New York and London. The album reached Number 2 in the UK Album Chart. It includes the singles ‘You Ain’t The Problem’, ‘Solid Ground’ and ‘Hero’
