Today 26th August is a big day for cinemas across the UK and Tenet the film everyone has been waiting opens nationwide. The sci-fi “spectacle” is Christopher Nolan’s first following Dunkirk. John David Washington (BlacKkKlansman 2018) is the Protagonist armed with only one word – Tenet – he is fighting to save of the world, as he journeys through an inverted reality, a world of international espionage on a mission that will end somewhere beyond real time. Not time travel. Inversion.

The race to save the world takes us into James Bond territory, this is an ambitious concept which you have to pay attention to, Inception junkies will indulge in this British Director/Writer’s ability to create a complicated narrative within the BIG blockbuster. It is fast with breathtaking stunts and fight scenes, making it a welcome addition to Nolan’s “resume”. Film fans will not be disappointed on their return to cinema.

Nolan wrote and directed the film, utilizing a mixture of IMAX® and 70mm film to bring the story to the screen. If any film can give the industry the nudge it needs then it is this one, in fact it appears Nolan is on a mission to save the ailing film industry which has flunked under the pandemic. Great screen chemistry between Patterson and Washington. With welcome appearances from Brits Sir Michael Caine and Hamesh Patel (Eastenders). Real edge of your seat moments lets hope this is reflected in the box office.. The BFI IMAX experience was tops…………..

The international cast of “Tenet” also includes Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Martin Donovan, Fiona Dourif, Yuri Kolokolnikov, Himesh Patel, Clémence Poésy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, with Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh. Tenet is released nationwide today 26th August 2020 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
