Singer-songwriter John Prine has died from COVID-19, his family announced at age 73.
Prine was being treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for coronavirus when he passed, his family confirmed.
This year he received lifetime achievement recognition from the Grammy Awards. In 2015, Prine was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
