Brixton-born Dave and Scotland’s Lewis Capaldi are leading with four nominations each in Male Solo Artist, Best New Artist, Song of the Year and the prestigious Mastercard Album of the Year. A very strong year for both artists, conjuring numerous accolades and chart-toppers under their belt.
Also competing for Male Solo Artist is two-time BRIT Award winner Stormzy, he’ll be competing for a third and he has two other nominations this year, Song of the Year and Mastercard Album of the Year categories, for new album, ‘Heavy Is The Head’.
Harry Styles no stranger to a BRIT Award, he has seven wins as part of One Direction, and as a solo artist, winning British Video of the Year in 2017 and has been nominated for Mastercard Album of the Year for 2020.
Another strong contender is Michael Kiwanuka in this category, having been previously shortlisted for Critics’ Choice in 2012. This year he finds himself also nominated for Mastercard Album of the Year, for self-titled album.
