Only Five Actresses of Color Won an Oscar in the 2010s – Will the 2020s be more promising

The Oscars are fast approaching and ALT looks back on the actresses that won the Oscars and the nominations of the 2010s. Although these actresses were recognised in the lead category none of them won, Viola Davis, Gabourey Sidibee, Quvenzhané Wallis, Ruth Negga and Yalitza Aparicio.
