A Ballad for Harlem Conversation: Making Community

BAM host a conversation about the convening power of the barber shop and beauty salons in Harlem and Black communities throughout the country and around the world. Kamal Nuru, owner and president of Levels Barbershop and Barber World TV; Quincy Mills, author of Cutting Along the Color Line: Black Barbers and Barber Shops in America; Polo Greene, barber at Harlem Masters; and others (to be announced) come together for this one-night-only event, presented in partnership with BAM’s presentation of Barber Shop Chronicles. Moderated by Mike Muse, the co-founder of Muse Recordings and host of SiriusXM’s award-winning show, The Mike Muse Show.
