The Television Academy on Sunday celebrated the 71st Emmy Awards, recognizing excellence in primetime programming and individual achievement for the 2018-2019 television season.
When They See Us is based on the true story of the Central Park Five, the teens who were falsely convicted in of a brutal rape and beating of a Central Park jogger on April 19, 1989.
The 71st Emmy Awards were broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on FOX.
