A docufiction film by poet Julian Knxx. Roots for a Crown explores and challenges a range of issues around locks – including the nature of hair, social issues, African-futurism, masculinity and history.

Julian Knxx is a poet, filmmaker and visual artist whose profile is on the rise thanks to recent commissions by Southbank Centre, The House of St Barnaba, Soho Radio and fans including musician Sampha.
