Sundance London-Talking to Sophie Hyde Director of “Animals” on 2nd June

With a story of female friendship Sophie Hyde brings her adaptation from the book of the same name to Sundance London. “Animals” is Emma Janes Unsworth’s highly acclaimed 2014 novel. Animals explores the hangover between adolescence and adulthood. Starring Holliday Grainger (Laura) as the would-be writer and her free spirited bestie Alia Shawkat (Tyler). When Laura falls in love Tyler worries that the party may soon be over.

Sophie Hyde is an Australian film director, writer and producer based in Adelaide, South Australia. She is co-founder of Closer Productions at Glenside and best known for her award-winning debut fiction film, 52 Tuesdays.  You catch the second screening of Animals at PictureHouse Central on Sunday 2nd June at 4;15pm.  UK release date is 2nd August.
