Seth Meyers will host the 75th Golden Globe Awards in Hollywood airing live on NBC from 5-8 p.m. PT / 8-11 p.m. ET from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Previously announced, Golden Globe-nominee Oprah Winfrey will be the recipient of the 2018 Cecil B. DeMille Award. Produced by Dick Clark productions (dcp) in association with the HFPA, the Golden Globe Awards are viewed in more than 236 countries worldwide and are one of the few awards ceremonies to include both motion picture and television achievements.
Live from the red carpet: Celebrities took to the red carpet dressed in black in support of a movement call Times Up: showing the world solidarity for victims of sexual abuse and harassment in the workplace. Meryl Streep, nominee for Lead Actress for The Post, was among 8 high profile women who were extending their message to a plus one who represented a field of activism.

Accompanied by Al-Jen Poo Director of National Domestic Workers Alliance. Streep said she was happy to be here in this moment. On why she said “this red carpet will be different”. Streep said “People will be more aware. People are aware of power and balance and that it is something that leads to abuse. It has led to abuse in our own industry and with domestic workers field of work, in the military, it is in Congress, it is everywhere. And we want to fix that and we want to stand together in a thick black line”.
Michelle Williams was with #MeToo movement leader Tarana Burke.

Michelle said ” We are here because of Tarana, because she started the #MeToo movement and she planted a seed years ago and it had grown, caught fire”
Tarana said; It is deeply moving, this is something I started out of necessity and something I felt my community needed and could not imagine it has grown like this. This moment is so powerful as we are seeing a collision of these two worlds that people do not usually put together and would normally have us pitted against each other”
Debra Messing told said: “This is not about Hollywood this about every woman in every industry globally”.

Amongst this years nominees include:
- Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy is Get Out.
- Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama Denzel Washington.
- Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy- Daniel Kaluuya for Get Out.
- Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture- Octavia Spencer The Shape of Water and Mary J. Blige for Mudbound.
This year the line up of presenters include Roseanne Barr (Golden Globe Award winner and five-time award nominee), Mariah Carey (Golden Globe Award nominee), Jessica Chastain (Golden Globe Award winner and five-time award nominee), Emilia Clarke, Common (Golden Globe Award winner), Viola Davis (Golden Globe Award winner and five-time award nominee), Zac Efron,John Goodman (Golden Globe Award winner and five-time award nominee), Kit Harington and Salma Hayek.
