Facebook has opened its new London office and has promised to add another 800 jobs in the capital in 2018, showing its commitment to Britain as the country prepares for Brexit.
Facebook’s announcement in November last year came shortly after Google said it was building a new hub in the city able to accommodate more than 7,000 employees.
The opening of Facebook in London is the biggest engineering hub for Facebook outside the USA, a move welcome by finance minister Philip Hammond, who toured the new building located off Oxford Street.
