Claude Bonnin, President of ADIAF, unveiled the names of the four artists nominated for the 25th Marcel Duchamp Prize at Artcurial on Thursday 9 January 2025:
Bianca Bondi, 1986, Mor Charpentier
Eva Nielsen, 1983, Peter Kilchmann / The Pill
Lionel Sabatté, 1975, Ceysson & Bénétière
Xie Lei, 1983, Semiose
“The four artists nominated for The Marcel Duchamp Prize 2025 have been selected after a long and rigorous process by the selection committee, composed of ADIAF collectors.
This year, however, marks a significant change. After 24 years at the Musée National d’Art Moderne, the next exhibition of The Marcel Duchamp Prize will not be held at the Centre Pompidou, which is closing for renovation. Instead, the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris will host the next exhibitions of The Marcel Duchamp Prize, from 2025 to 2029, as part of an agreement between the ADIAF, the Centre Pompidou and the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris / Paris Musées. The exhibition of the 2025 nominees will run from 26 September 2025 to 22 February 2026. (Main image works of Xie Lei copyright
I look forward to seeing you at the Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris on Thursday, 23 October 2025, during Paris Art Week, for the announcement of the winner, who will be chosen by an international jury composed of directors of art institutions, collectors and, as last year, two artists.
– Claude Bonnin, President of ADIAF.

Established in partnership with the Centre Pompidou and endowed with €90,000, The Marcel Duchamp Prize is one of the most prestigious awards in the contemporary art world. Since its creation in 2000, the Marcel Duchamp Prize has honored numerous artists who have gone on to become prominent figures on the international art scene.

The Marcel Duchamp Prize offers comprehensive support to artists. To date, the ADIAF has organised 50 exhibitions on the French scene showcasing both the nominees and Prize winners, including around 20 international exhibitions with the support of the Institut Français. Additionally, the ADIAF provides residency opportunities to nominated artists through partnerships in France with Sèvres – Manufacture and National Museums, and in the United States with the Villa Albertine.
