Imagine something that you live with and it can hurt you, but it means your children will be extraordinary. I remember thinking yeah that’s going to be the power” ‒ Rapman on sickle cell disorder

I said I’m going to do it in South London so a little kid can come and say, ‘mum what’s that camera’ and they can see that’s a TV show” ‒ Rapman

I really wanted to bring film sets to people in the depths of Woolwich, Peckham, places where we don’t get as much filming…it was important for me to touch on that” ‒ Rapman

I don’t think we often see black love represented in the way we see it between Michael and Dionne […] It’s beautiful to see a really gorgeous, realistic portrayal of black love on screen” ‒ Adelayo Adedayo

“You don’t know what’s going to happen at any given moment […] it’s a recipe for an entertaining show” – Tosin Cole

This is someone who is a working-class creator, writer, local lad from Lewisham and he’s made good. He bet on himself and it’s paid off.” ‒  Calvin Demba on Rapman
