On the occasion of the 11th edition of Rencontres de Bamako, Biennale Africaine de la Photographie, The Walther Collection debuted its first exhibition on the African continent with the opening of Deconstructed Spaces, Surveyed Memories, a selection from the exhibition Recent Histories.
Examining urban structures, architecture and products of mass consumption across the African continent, the eight featured artists investigate structural notions of identity and memory to consider the impact of broad socio-cultural, economic, and political currents.
The exhibition runs from December 2, 2017 through January 31, 2018.
