Marvel Studios’ Black Panther continues to hold the number one spot at the UK box office and has now surpassed the £38 million mark to become the fourth biggest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This result sees T’Challa, AKA Black Panther, steal the spot for the highest grossing standalone character lead film from the studio.
After less than four weeks at the box office Marvel Studios’ Black Panther has grossed over $1billion globally and becomes the fifth film from the Studio to surpass this milestone.

Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” follows T’Challa who returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to become king, but when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. The Disney superhero film stars Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan.
